Crucible

Crucible is an expressive, passionate work for violin and cello duet. The title is inspired by the emotional experience of listening to the piece, and the emotions I felt while writing it.
Crucible was composed in 2021 for the Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine, and was premiered by Michelle Guzman and Jameson Platte. It was published in the Phoenix Literary Magazine in 2022, and was the winner for the “Best in Other Categories” award.
