On Caring is a poignant work that utilizes aleatoric textures, polytonality, expressive melodic figures, and large-scale growth to instill in the audience a sense of catharsis. The harmonies in the piece convey a sense of passion and compassion, from which the title is derived.
On Caring was written in 2020 and revised in 2021 for the Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine.
